Who wrote it

Sam Amyett flew the E-6B Mercury as a U.S. Navy Flight Officer, where his job was to lead crews and direct the missions that maintain the President's ability to communicate with nuclear forces. As lead NATOPS Instructor and Mission Commander Evaluator, he trained and qualified the officers who fly that mission. Every mission he planned assumed conventional communications could be gone in an instant.
