The Starter Kit gives your household the same zippered fabric binder and the same 16-sheet planner that sit at the center of the Complete Kit, packed in the same kit box.*
The planner follows military planning methodology, which has you plan for the consequences that most emergencies share, such as a power outage, a loss of communication or an evacuation, so one written plan covers a long list of situations. Each sheet has a side for you to write on and a guide on the back that walks you through it, so you can start with one condition plan and build out from there over a few weeks. Once the plan is written down, it lives in the binder on a shelf where anyone in the house can find it, and it works without a phone, a charger or a signal.
